Benitses
The traditional settlement of Benitses, just 4 km to the south of Perama, is quiet and picturesque, with mountains surrounding the resort that hide small secluded churches. This natural positioning offers great opportunities for hiking or bike rides through the lush hills in one of the trails crossing them. The stunning coastal views will definitely reward the climb. As for the actual resort itself, the beaches are equipped with all the necessary facilities and amenities, such as umbrellas and sun beds, and offer a great selection of water sports activities. Furthermore, in the local marina, you can find boats that can take you on cruises around the Island or the neighboring Paxos Island. The nightlife in Benitses is vibrant with many choices for having a nice and chill night out, including diners, restaurants, taverns, coffee areas, and bars. While you are here, you can also pay a visit to the Corfu Shell Museum, to admire one of the richest collections of shells, corals, and other sea fossils of the Mediterranean. Finally, if you are in for some more sightseeing, you can visit the remains of the Roman Villa and its Roman baths, which you will find really close to the main road.
